Description

Super Mario Land launched in 1989 as one of the launch titles of the Game Boy.  What was significant about this release is that it was the first time in history that Mario could be played on the go.  Also notable is the game's inability to save your progress (you can unlock a Hard Mode and Stage Select, as well as record a high score.  But once you shut the power off or your batteries died, that was gone).  With the 3DS, however, you can now save your progress via Restore Points.

The first eShop game I ever got on 3DS.Funny how both my first 3DS and Wii U eShop games were both Mario games.I got Super Mario Land on 3DS eShop and Super Mario World on Wii U eShop.
